The tour

One catalogue, from the first pour to the supplier invoice.

Products, sizes, modifiers and recipes in one place, with supplier invoices read from a photo.

The catalogue

One menu, in your own categories.

Draft, bottles, wine, spirits, food, retail. Rename any category to your own word, and give a product a display name, a producer and priced sizes.

Questions

The things people ask.

What can BarOS read off an invoice?

A photo or a PDF. It pulls out each line: the product name, the quantity, the container size, the unit and total price, and the producer where the invoice names one. Kegs, bottles, wine, spirits and soft drinks are each sorted into the right stock type.

Does accepting an invoice change my products automatically?

No. The read lines sit in review first, and nothing touches your catalogue or stock until you accept. You can match a line to an existing product or let it create a new one, and only then are the stock and the cost committed.

Do I need special hardware to capture invoices?

No. A phone or tablet camera photo works, and so does a PDF from your supplier's email. Reading the invoice runs on our side, so a busy multi-page delivery note is handled the same way as a single receipt.

What is a composite product?

A recipe or a bundle sold as one button. A Havnebryg Highball deducts its gin, tonic and garnish; a gift box deducts the bottles inside it. The composite itself holds no stock, its parts do, and a part shared by two recipes is only counted once.

How do required and optional modifiers differ?

You set how many choices a group needs. A required group asks for at least one, an optional group can be left alone, and you can cap the maximum. An option that costs more carries a price that adds onto the line, and one that costs less can subtract.

How does a purchase price become margin?

Each accepted invoice updates the product's cost per unit. Cost of goods is then figured from what the items sold were bought for, and revenue you have not costed yet is reported on its own rather than shown as pure profit.
