The tour

The tap wall, run from a screen instead of a whiteboard.

Put a keg on, queue the next one, and the levels, the POS and the guest menu update with it.

Live levels

Keg levels drop as you sell.

Every draft sale attributes to the keg on that line, so the board shows roughly how much is poured and how many litres are left.

In sync

One change reaches every screen.

Put a keg on and the change lands on the POS, the other tablets and the guest list. Without signal, screens fall back to refreshing.

Cost and margin

Keg cost against what it sold.

Enter a keg's cost and its pours attribute back to it. Margin comes from the same immutable sales journal as your reports, and uncosted stock shows as unpriced.

Questions

The things people ask.

How does the board know how much is left in a keg?

Every draft sale is attributed back to the keg on that line, at the POS, at the moment it is rung. The board adds those pours up against the keg's volume and shows roughly how much is poured and how many litres are left. It counts real sales only, so a fresh keg reads empty of sales until it starts selling, not full of guesses.

Does a card sale still count against the keg?

Yes. A card sale often arrives carrying only the product name, so the keg is resolved on the server from the line on that tap: by an explicit keg first, then the product, then the name. A pint sold on card lowers the level the same as one sold on cash.

Do all my screens update at once?

Put a keg on and the change is published on your venue's own channel, so the POS, other tablets and the guest menu pick it up. If a screen briefly has no connection it falls back to refreshing on its own, so it catches up rather than showing yesterday's line.

How do the line-cleaning reminders work?

You set the interval, anywhere from a day to a year. Each line shows a badge that goes amber as the clean falls due and red once it is past, with the number of days it is overdue. Marking a line clean records who cleaned it and when, and sets the next date from your interval.

What do guests see if a beer has no price yet?

The guest menu shows "Ask at the bar" rather than a blank or a zero, which would read as free. Anything you mark 86 at the POS shows as just run out until you pull it, so a guest is not left ordering something that is gone.
